Acer recently announced a plethora of updated and new gaming focused laptops and PC’s. Acer seems to be casting a large net to capture as much of the gaming community as possible, from top-end rigs for the hardcore gamers to mid-range catering for enthusiasts.

Predator Orion 500:
The Orion 5000 sets the bar for top-shelf performance by dropping the AMD CPU and chipset and going for the more recent Intel offering:

  • Intel 9th Gen Core i9-9900K
  • Z390 chipset
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU
  • Coolermaster CPU liquid cooler
  • Up to 64GB DDR4 RAM support
  • Various HDD/SDD form factor support within the 30 liter chassis

Predator 43-inch LFGD Gaming Monitor:
What better pairing for the Orion 5000 than a whopping 43-inch, 144Hz, 4k (3840 x 2160) gaming monitor? The syling has changed form the usual Predator series red-footed stand but I am sure the screen itself is only an improvement on the current generation of Predator gaming monitors. The monitor itself is fitted with a light sensor to determine background light and adjust accordingly, a motion sensor to automatically switch on if someone sits in front of it and a remote control in case the user does wish to use this as their TV screen. Adaptive sync is also a standard feature.

Predator Helios 700:
Acer’s premiere gaming laptop is truly something to behold. Due to the cacophony of high-end hardware that is packed into this tiny form factor the Helios 700’s style is pure nerdy goodness. Above the keyboard is a glass and mesh combination to allow superior cooling and allow all the jelly people around you to look into the beautiful-bowels of the Helios and witness the copper heat pipes at work. The laptop itself has the following specifications:

  • Intel 9th Gen Core i9
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 or RTX 2070 GPU
  • Up to 64GB DDR4 RAM support
  • 17-inch 144Hz FHD IPS with NVIDIA G-SYNC

Predator Helios 300:
This may be Acer’s mid-range laptop but it is by no means skimping out for the most part and will really suit the enthusiasts gaming requirements with ease. The Helios 300 has the following specifications:

  • Intel 9th Gen Core i7
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU
  • Up to 32GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM
  • Up to 2 PCIe NVMe SSDs in RAID 0 and a HDD
  • 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch Full HD IPS both 144Hz
